Yesterday, we did a day trip to Bruges, Belgium, which is about 2 hours by bus from Lille. Since I\u2019ve been to Bruges several times before I didn\u2019t do anything very touristy-mostly just wandered around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We started off by walking along the most that surrounds the town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This bridge spins to let boats\/barges through (not sure if you can tell in the picture)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

There are also several windmills along the edge of town<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

After all that walking, it was time for lunch: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ate at a restaurant in this square (sculpture is of a famous Belgian painter, Jan VanEyck)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We ended the day with some chocolate shopping and waffles!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ended the day meeting everyone in the main square before the bus ride back to Lille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
